Erin Carey is the founder of Roam Generation, a PR agency focused on helping travel, adventure & lifestyle brands share their unique and inspiring story with the world.
Erin has over 20 years of communications experience in the corporate environment and has interviewed in excess of 1000 people throughout her career. She has an inquisitive nature and loves to ask the big questions, to get to the real heart of the story.
Roam Generation came about while Erin and her family were living on a yacht and sailing the world’s oceans. However, they weren’t sailors when they came up with the idea of leaving the rat race and sailing away. Without letting that minor detail get in the way, Erin and her husband bought a yacht on the opposite side of the world and went on to cross the Atlantic Ocean a mere 18 months later.

For four years I ran my PR agency aboard the infamous yacht named ROAM - a 47 foot sailing boat that delivered us safely across oceans. For that entire time, Roam Generation was the only PR agency in the world run from a yacht! Now firlmy planted on terra firma in Adelaide, Australia, Roam Generation will always be known as an agency who are doing things differently. From the high seas to the city, our unique foundation will continue to shape our future.

Sailing around the world allowed Erin to meet the most incredible people and visit the most awe inspiring destinations. It’s those people, and the brands and companies they represent, that Roam Generation wants to help. It’s the incredible places Erin has had the good fortune of visiting, that she wants to promote. Roam Generation was developed to support the travel, adventure and lifestyle industry and all that encompasses, to continue to change people’s lives through adventure, world-class destinations and life-changing experiences.
By sharing client stories through PR and content creation, Roam Generation is able to inspire more people to step out of their comfort zone and live a life less ordinary.
Time and time again, Erin would hear about the struggles businesses were experiencing trying to reach their target audience or solidify their position as an authority in the market.
Erin created Roam Generation as a way to help others continue to live their dreams. And, as luck would have it, Roam Generation allowed Erin and her family to sail around the world aboard their yacht, because it is a location independent business.
